7 Steps Formula for Goal Setting

A well-defined goal reduces your stress as stress comes from not knowing what to do. A concrete plan simplifies your life. Here is sharing 7 steps formula for goal setting.



Step 1: Decide exactly what you want in a specific area and write it down clearly in detail. Make it measurable & specific. If you do not define exactly what you want, you will compromise on anything and live far below than your privilege.


Step 2: Set deadline for the achievement of the goal. If it is large, break it them to smaller parts and set sub-deadline. Please remember that if you do not have a sense of urgency your desire loses its value.

Step 3: Make a list of everything that you will have to do to achieve your goal. As you think of new items, add them to your list until it is complete.

Step 4: Organize your list of action steps into plan. A plan must be organized on the basis of 2 elements: priority and sequence.

Step 5: Identify the obstacles or limitations that might hold you back from achieving your goal. (Ask yourself "why I have not achieved this goal already).

Step 6: Take some action of some kind. Do the first thing immediately (before your inspiration quench).

Step 7: Do something every day that moves you towards your most important goal. Daily action deepens your belief that the goal is achievable.
